MINUTES

Mayor Mulcahy called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm.

Members Present: Carmen Centanni, Anthony Lazar, Brian Hitt,
Scott Lewis, John Terlep, Jud Kline
and Mayor Kathy Mulcahy

Members Absent: None

Others Present: Rebecca Schaltenbrand, Schottenstein,
Zox & Dunn Co. LPA
Ron Kluchin, Village Architect
Lou Hovancsek, Building Commissioner
Mary Fisco, PZ/ABR Secretary

Election of PZ/ABR Chairperson - open floor for nominations:

Mayor Mulcahy requested nominations for Chairperson for 2009.
Mayor Kathy Mulcahy was nominated for Chairperson by Hitt; seconded by Lewis.
Additional call for nominations, read twice.
A motion to close nominations and cast a ballot for Mayor Mulcahy
as Chairperson was made by Kline; seconded by Terlep.

Ayes: Centanni, Lazar, Hitt, Lewis, Terlep, Kline and Mulcahy
No: None

Election of PZ/ABR Chairperson Pro-Tem - open floor for nominations:

Mayor Mulcahy requested nominations for Chairperson Pro-Tem for 2009.
Brian Hitt was nominated for Chairperson Pro-Tem by Terlep; seconded by Lewis.
Additional call for nominations, read twice.
A motion to close nominations and cast a ballot for Brian Hitt as
Chairperson Pro-Tem was made by Kline; seconded by Lewis.

Ayes: Centanni, Lazar, Hitt, Lewis, Terlep, Kline and Mulcahy
No: None

PZ/ABR Discussion: Joint motion to approve subject to ‘no words are
added to the signage’, and also writing same stipulation on the permit
was made by Hitt; seconded by Terlep.

#2 REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL – ORDINANCE 2008-33

An ordinance amending section 1123.02, section 1123.03, and section
1143.03 of the Codified Ordinances of Orange Village to revise the
Village’s preliminary plat and preliminary development plan review procedures,
and repealing certain ordinances.

Tabled for revisions.

#3 BUILDING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT

· Lakes of Orange will be submitting final plans soon.
· Building Department is working on year-end reports, budgets, and updating
the website with the new fee schedule and plans submittal information.
· Sandy’s Gas & Go has changed their signage.
The Building Department will look into it.
· The Diner is proposing installing a pizza oven.
· Mooney’s Gas Station has installed the canopy.

#4 ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION

· Happy Birthday to Lou Hovancsek!!!
· University Hospital has not yet submitted to Giff Dyer the revisions for the canopy.
It will not require fire suppression system.

Motion to approve the minutes from November 18, 2008 with the following corrections
was made by Kline; seconded by Hitt.

On #2, Mayor Mulcahy made the motion, not Centanni.

No: None

#5 REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL: ORDINANCE 2008-26

Motion to recommend to Council to approve was made by Centanni; seconded by Lazar.

Ayes: None
No: Centanni, Lazar, Hitt, Lewis, Mulcahy

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at approximately 9:15 pm.
