MINUTES



Brian Hitt, Chairperson Pro-Tem called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm.

Members Present:	Anthony Lazar, Jud Kline, Herb Braverman, Scott Lewis, Brian Hitt

Members Absent:	John Terlep, Mayor Kathy Mulcahy

PZ Discussion:  Motion to approve was made by Lewis; seconded by Lazar.

#2	ELEVATION CHANGE			- Mark Aronica & Kathy Bryan, Owner
						- 29900 Emery Rd. (s/l 3)
						- Premier Custom Builders
						- Alan Brown, Representative
Present:  Alan Brown

PZ/ABR Discussion:  
Joint motion to approve the revised elevation contingent upon:
1.	Contractor to provide a brick sample (Belden Brick, Manchester Blend,
	Tan Series) for approval by the Building Department, and
2.	Brick to be below the cultured stone, and above grade
	was made by Kline; seconded by Lazar.

Note:  The Cuyahoga County Board of Health received and approved (March 1, 2010) 
the septic system plans for the above site.

#3	SIGN CHANGE				- Peter Kusner / LaRich’s Pizza
						- 28149 Miles Rd.

-Discussion was had regarding the multiple, non-conforming existing window signs which are 
 presently on the building.  
-Board members took a field trip to visit the site, The Diner; located at 28149 Miles Rd.
-Temporary adjournment to reconvene in 20 minutes.

PZ/ABR Discussion:   Joint motion to approve contingent upon:
1.	The sign box trim to be the natural aluminum and remain unpainted,
2.	The sign is not to be installed until all other pizza signage is removed and all other 
	non-conforming signs (i.e. neon ‘OPEN’) are removed.  If the existing, non-conforming 
	signage is to remain, prior approval is required.  
3.	The contractor will notify the Building Department of the installation date.
	was made by Braverman; seconded by Lewis.

Note:  The temporary signage has been up for more than the 28 day maximum allowance.

#4	ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION

·	The Wasabi Steakhouse was issued a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy.
·	There was a car fire under the canopy located in the front of the Bahama Breeze Restaurant.  
	The car fire was kept under control because of the canopy fire suppression system. 



Motion to approve the minutes of the February 16, 2010 meeting was made by Kline; seconded by Braverman.
