Mayor Kathy Mulcahy called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm.

PZ/ABR Discussion: Joint motion to approve subject to the color (“Landerwood Glen Grey”)
and being exactly what is shown in the pictures submitted was made by Mulcahy;
seconded by Lewis.

#2 LANDSCAPING (Phase I and II) & DECK

PZ/ABR Discussion: Joint motion to approve both Phase One (of the Landscaping Plan)
and the deck, subject to the following:
1. Phase Two (of the Landscaping Plan) to be completed by 2011,
2. The trim and deck will match the trim of the house (‘Sadle’ color),
3. A rendering of the dwelling was also submitted showing the colors;
was made by Mulcahy; seconded by Lewis.

1. New wrought iron fence to be installed, existing split rail fence
with wire mesh will also be used,
2. Path to the pool matches the existing patio,
3. The pool deck pavers/pool deck materials to be submitted and
approved by the Building Commissioner was made by
Mulcahy; seconded by Kline.

ABR Discussion: Motion to approve subject to the following recommendations:
1. Addition of 2 windows in the sitting room, on the east wall to match the
adjacent windows on the northerly walls.
2. To re-study the roof of the gathering room and the covered terrace to
create a ridge connecting those two roofs and eliminating the pocket at the
gathering room.was made by Kline; seconded by Mayor Mulcahy.

Determination of Similar Use Request

Mike Giarrizzo is proposing an auto collision shop at 27100 Chagrin Blvd, where the
old Saturn Dealership was.
There is an ordinance (Ord. 2010-25) being presented for 1st reading at the Council meeting
on October 13th to declare that the use for which he is proposing for the empty Saturn dealership
will be compatible and similar to those which already exist in the that zoning code as car dealerships
are allowed for U-4 districts and Mr. Giarrizzo is proposing a car collision center.

It is suggested that members go on a field trip to look at a similar auto body shop on Brookpark Road.
On November 16th this project will be presented again to the Board Members for Report & Recommendation.
#7 BUILDING COMMISSIONER’S REPORT
· Lou met with the Fire Marshall at Sandy’s Gas ‘N Go, 28021 Miles Road. There are 4 fuel tanks,
each have remaining fuel in them. The Fire Marshall will inspect the property/underground
storage tanks and give a report to the Attorney General’s office.
#8 ANY OTHER TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION
· Jud clarified that site plans are signed by the Engineer and the construction/drawing plans
are stamped by the Mayor.
Motion to approve the Minutes of the September 21, 2010 meeting as amended was made by Kline; seconded by Lewis.
Corrections:
Under the “Building Commissioners Report”:
Bullet #2 Add the word “medical”, between nuclear and trailer.
Bullet #4 Delete “out of business” and insert “suspended operations”.
